Established in 2008, Paragon Strength & Conditioning is one of the original affiliates in Metro Atlanta, led by Coach, owner, and 2017 CrossFit Games champion or athlete; Nate Taylor. Rx
The Rx division is ideal if your goals include improving body composition, building strength, and enhancing your overall quality of life. This program is a great fit for individuals who enjoy learning new skills and movements while progressing at a sustainable pace. The focus is on long-term health, confidence, and performance—without the pressure to compete in local or online competitions.

Combination of Rx and Rx+
The Rx and Rx+ combination is designed for those who want to push their physical limits and see direct carryover to real-world activities such as mountain climbing, skiing, or recreational sports. This option offers higher intensity and more complex workouts for athletes who enjoy being challenged, while still keeping the emphasis on personal improvement rather than competition.

Rx+
The Rx+ division is ideal for athletes who are interested in training for the CrossFit Open. This program focuses on advanced movements, heavier loads, and higher skill development commonly seen in competitive CrossFit-style workouts. Rx+ is well suited for those who enjoy structured, performance-driven training and want to test their fitness on a competitive stage.

Although Paragon Strength & Conditioning has been around for decades, the first CrossFit gym was opened in California in 1996. Founded by Greg Glassman, Paragon Strength & Conditioning has been one of the most effective forms of fitness ever invented.

Nate had always been competitive so when introduced to CrossFit in 2007, he never looked back! “This seemingly less superficial or organic approach to fitness is what grabbed my heart. I loved that there was a purpose to it all other than just changing how I looked. Initially, my aspirations were to improve speed, strength and everything it takes to be a better athlete. I still aim for the same but I’ve learned that chasing these goals simply makes me better at life.” In 2008, Nate took a complete leap of faith and opened the 10th Paragon Strength & Conditioning in the state of Georgia…. Paragon Strength & Conditioning . Recognizing that group exercise was accessible at a number of different gyms, Nate has made it his goal each day to provide his members with the most knowledgeable staff in the business and to have more fun in class than ANY other gym around! Nate competed in the 2017 CrossFit Games and continues to spread his passion for a purpose driven fitness and living a better life everyday one workout, one person at a time.

Maryam found her passion for fitness in her late thirties. In search for a solution to address the fatigue from the physical demands of her profession as a general dentist, Maryam found Paragon Strength & Conditioning . Simply after one month, there was no turning back. “Paragon Strength & Conditioning truly changed my life. Having a caring, knowledgeable, and inspiring coach as well as a community to motivate me, and hold me accountable everyday was what got me hooked on Paragon Strength & Conditioning . Now this is my opportunity to give back and to make a positive lasting impact on other people’s lives. Fitness truly is a journey and a privilege for all to enjoy.”

Ashley grew up in the gym and watched her dad develop into both an amazing Paragon Strength & Conditioning coach and athlete. She has always had a competitive mindset and a passion for fitness. This transpired into her workouts immediately when her dad introduced her to Paragon Strength & Conditioning .

As a former collegiate athlete, Brian has “Worked Out” for most of his life. It wasn’t till he found Paragon Strength & Conditioning in 2012 that fitness became FUN! “Using fitness as a way to stay active, mobile, and energetic has really made a difference in my life! The social aspect of walking into the gym each day, has been an added bonus!!” When Brian is not at the gym he enjoys playing and watching almost every sport imaginable, College Football being the most important.

ANSWERS TO YOUR MOST COMMON QUESTIONS
To be nerdy, it is constantly varied, functional movement, done at relatively high intensity. What that means in English is we do a bunch of different workouts, comprised of simple body-weight and free-weight movements, and we are pushing ourselves as hard as we want to or can on that day.

We recommend clothes that you are comfortable to move in. You will be getting up and down off the floor and moving quickly. Make sure they are clothes you are ok sweating in. You will sweat. In the nicer months we will work out outside if the weather permits it. There are tons of Paragon Strength & Conditioning specific clothes, shoes, and gears out there, but you do not need any of that for Foundations. If you are looking to upgrade the wardrobe we can point you in the right direction.
Anything done incorrectly can be dangerous. By going through Foundations, you are learning the correct way to move and approach workouts. Once in classes you are under the watchful eye of a coach whose sole purpose is to push you outside your comfort zone while maintaining a safe environment. Paragon Strength & Conditioning done correctly is not dangerous.
